Touhou Tabletop RPG Gensou Narratograph to Launch in English in 2027
LionWing, an American publisher of translated Japanese tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs), announced on October 9 that it is bringing the Touhou Project TTRPG Gensou Narratograph: The Roleplaying Game Based on Touhou to English-speaking players next year. LionWing said the rulebook will feature 30 characters, 21 locales to explore, new character art and map, and a 100-page replay session featuring ZUN.

Gensou Narratograph: The Roleplaying Game Based on Touhou supports up to four players and one game master. LionWing describes the game as combining "cozy slice-of-life storytelling with Danmaku Duels inspired by the franchise's bullet-hell confrontations.”
LionWing is set to offer three editions of the game's rulebook. Two of the editions will be hardcover and will be available exclusively during the upcoming ordering window. One of the hardcover editions will feature painted edges. LionWing plans to offer a softcover edition at retail.
LionWing will launch a BackerKit crowdfunding campaign for the rulebook on November 3.
Japanese publisher Kadokawa originally launched Gensou Narratograph: The Roleplaying Game Based on Touhou in 2023.
Team Shanghai Alice released the first Touhou video game, Touhou: Highly Responsive to Prayers, independently in 1995 on the PC-98 platform. Since then, the series has spawned other main games, multiple spinoffs, and many fan-made derivative works based on characters and stories from the series.
Playism released Touhou: Double Dealing Character in May 2015 as the first official release of any game in the Touhou Project series in English-speaking territories. Playism, NIS America, and XSEED Games have released some of the fan-made games based on the franchise.
