007 First Light proved to be an enormous success when it first launched, a predictable outcome considering just how popular the James Bond IP proves to be. Its version of Bond was met with general enthusiasm, and IO Interactive's merging of Hitman's stealth gameplay with the cinematic action spectacle of the James Bond films was a riotous success. So, it is perhaps even less surprising that 007 First Light is getting a lot of post-launch support.

Indeed, 007 First Light's first DLC launched not long after the base game, introducing some much-requested features and new missions for fans to enjoy. There is also a story-focused DLC looming on the horizon that'll serve as a more premium experience. However, that doesn't appear to be all IO Interactive has up its proverbial sleeve, as a brand-new piece of DLC has been officially revealed for 007 First Light that is themed around the iconic film, GoldenEye. The only caveat is that fans may have to wait a little while before they can get their hands on it.

As aforementioned, outlined in 007 First Light's Year 1 roadmap are a handful of upcoming DLC, both big and small, that should add to the experience a number of crucial features and missions. IO Interactive has been fairly transparent about what is coming to 007 First Light and when fans should expect it, so, for the most part, there's little to surprise us. Well, that was the case until the studio finally revealed when the Switch 2 port would be dropping.

IO Interactive has been promising a Switch 2 port of the game for quite some time, but never gave concrete details on when we could expect it to be released. Fortunately, in a brand-new trailer, the studio revealed 007 First Light Switch 2's release date alongside the aforementioned GoldenEye-themed DLC. Those who pre-order the game on Nintendo's new handy handheld will get a brand-new outfit inspired by Pierce Brosnan's look in GoldenEye, chunky tie included.

The GoldenEye outfit doesn't seem to be available on any other platform and will likely remain an exclusive bonus to those who pre-order on Switch 2 for at least a short while after the port releases. However, it's extremely likely that we'll see it eventually added to the other platforms at some point, and likely as a free add-on. Regardless, it is nice to see those who opt to buy the Switch 2 port get something out of it. You can briefly see the outfit in action during a short trailer for 007 First Light in a recent Nintendo Direct.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game will cost $69.99, but will also feature all of the Deluxe Edition content from the other platforms. We already know that the Switch 2 version will be a downgrade from even its other console counterparts, so the drop in price is somewhat understandable. We've seen Ubisoft take this same approach with both Star Wars Outlaws and Assassin's Creed Shadows on the Switch 2. Regardless, the GoldenEye suit DLC is a nice touch, and one that will almost certainly serve to make 007 First Light even more immersive.
