Nicole Eggert candidly opened up about the financial struggles she has faced amid her breast cancer battle.

The 54-year-old Baywatch alum, who was diagnosed with stage two cribriform carcinoma breast cancer in December 2023, discussed the topic during a recent interview with Fox News Digital.

The star has since undergone a double mastectomy and reconstruction. Earlier this year in March, she also underwent a full hysterectomy.

Eggert talked about the financial burden of health bills as well as simultaneously being a single mom to daughters Dilyn, 28, and Keegan, 15, amid her health journey.

'I'm a 100% single parent. One of my daughters is an adult, so she is very self-independent, and she does great, but I do have a teenager still at home.'

The actress explained that she has had to balance other responsibilities such as taking care of the household and 'the cost of what this diagnosis brings.'

'Really, you can't even wrap your head around it,' Eggert expressed to the outlet.

The star explained that she was not able to take on acting work due to receiving treatment.

'In my line of work, I couldn't commit to being on any kind of production because I'm gonna be in treatment and in and out of treatment...three to five, at least, days a week. So, it's not like it's work from home kind of work.'

Eggert said that she came to terms that she 'wasn't gonna have income, and yet the bills don't stop.

'And the teenagers still need their things. And life needs their things and the car still needs the gas. And, you know, all of it.'

The actress was able to turn to her supportive 'community' and understood that it was okay to ask for help.

'You really have to find your community, and you really have to be okay with asking for help or asking other people how they do it and getting tips and tricks and just all the information you can get.'

Eggert continued, 'That's why these conversations are just so, so important and so necessary. Because what else would you do?'

She added, 'You have to be able to say hey, I'm underwater here. I don't know how I'm gonna do this.'

Daily Mail has reached out to a rep of Eggert for comment, but has yet to hear back.

The Charles In Charge actress was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2023, which she went public with the following month.

She stated that after gaining around 25 pounds and feeling pain in her left breast beginning in October 2023, she underwent a mammogram and three biopsies, which resulted in a diagnosis of stage two cribriform carcinoma breast cancer.

While initially she assumed her symptoms were due to menopause, she 'immediately' got in touch with the doctor when she felt a lump after doing a self-exam.

'It really was throbbing and hurting,' she explained to People in 2024. 'I immediately went to my general practitioner and she told me I had to immediately go get it looked at.'

Eggert later admitted to the outlet, 'This journey's been rough for me.

'This hasn't been a breezy sail through life,' the actress said, adding that she has been focusing on positivity. 'I always read inspirational quotes and corny stuff, but it gets me through.'

The actress has previously opened up about her two daughters being her 'rocks' amid her breast cancer battle.

'My girls are just, they're my rocks. They have been so amazing through all of this because it's strange,' Eggert expressed to Us Weekly.

She also added that, 'They're proud of me. They're right by my side. They're giving me the most grace and checking on me constantly and asking me how I'm doing and we're really just loving on each other really hard.'

Eggert's close friend, Mindy Molinary, had also set up a GoFundMe for the actress to help the star with finances at the beginning of her health battle.

Back in December 2025, the actress offered a positive update on her Instagram stories.

She could be seen sitting inside a vehicle as Missy Elliott's track Work It played in the background.

The star then shared that after undergoing a blood test, the results had come out 'clear.'

Text added over the clip read: 'Not everyone realizes how stressful cancer recovery is. Every month there are blood tests and then you go in to get those results. Every. Single. Month.

'So that changes your life going forward,' Eggert further continued.

'Today my tests were clear and my white blood cell count was up without those d*** blood injections. And I am in my car rocking out and celebrating! Let's go!!!!'

In April, Eggert also took to her main Instagram page as she bravely showed off her body and showed off scars from her cancer battle

Earlier this year in March, Eggert revealed that she underwent a full hysterectomy after 'early signs of more cancer' had been detected.

'We can give in to our fear and anxiety, or we can surrender to this great mystery with courage,' she wrote on Instagram at the time.

'What a journey. Test results showed early signs of more cancer. I am grateful to my doctors for keeping such a close eye on me. Full Hysterectomy eliminates at least 7 different types of cancers.'
