The Federal Fire Service, Gombe State Command, has trained members of the 2026 Batch C Stream I of the National Youth Service Corps on fire prevention and emergency response at the temporary orientation camp in Amada, Gombe State.

The sensitisation lecture, delivered by ASF II Aliyu Ibrahim, focused on the common causes of fire outbreaks, preventive measures, the safe use of electrical appliances and appropriate responses to fire emergencies.

The command urged the corps members to apply the knowledge acquired during the training and extend fire safety awareness to their host communities throughout their national service.

It emphasised the importance of preventive measures in reducing fire outbreaks and protecting lives and property.

“The Federal Fire Service, Gombe State Command, reaffirms its commitment to public fire safety education and calls on residents to embrace preventive measures to protect lives and property,” he added.

The command also advised residents to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to minimise fire risks in their homes, workplaces and communities.
