BookWalker Expands Catalog with Mahjong Pros Publishing Titles
Kadokawa's BookWalker Global store announced on Tuesday that it is partnering with Mahjong set company Mahjong Pros' Mahjong Pros Publishing imprint to expand its catalog with the publisher's titles.
The retailer added the following titles on the same day:
- Senba Kurono's 136 Ready-to-Use Mahjong Strategies and Tactics
- Hideki Ohwada's Reform with No Wasted Draws - The Legend of Koizumi (Volumes 1-2)
- Mio Junta and Suda Yoshiki's Crybaby Mermaid - Illustrated Memoir of Yuumi Uotani
- Ayato Sasakura's Vermilion Stella - Illustrated Memoir of Arisa Date (Volume 1)
BookWalker launched a new rebuilt website, apps, and reader in March, which includes the previously announced new Lightweight Content Protection (LCP) DRM system, which allows users to access purchases through LCP-compatible reading apps outside of BookWalker.
All English-language manga and light novels moved to the new BookWalker website and app, while Japanese content will remain on the existing website and app.
BookWalker Global changed in ownership from BookWalker Co., Ltd. to M12 Media LLC (formerly J-Novel Club LLC) in March 2025. BookWalker Co., Ltd. and J-Novel Club/M12 Media LLC are both Kadokawa Group companies.
The Mahjong Pros Publishing imprint focuses on licensing, localizing, and distributing mahjong-themed manga and textbooks. The company announced its Mahjong Pros Publishing imprint in June 2025.
