While Villanueva said that MPD did not record major incidents, he recalled cases where children got separated from their guardians but were immediately found.

He said that the cemetery gave wrist tags to children upon entering the premises to easily identify their guardian in case of emergencies.

Villanueva then shared that several visitors sought medical assistance as their blood pressure shot up due to the hot weather.

He also said that the MPD also did not catch anyone drinking alcoholic beverages inside the cemetery.

The cemetery strictly prohibits the following inside its premises: pets, alcoholic beverages, cigarettes, vapes, illegal weapons, illegal drugs, and loud speakers.

Villanueva said that the confiscated items upon entrance will be turned over to their station for reports and will be burned after.

Meanwhile, Villanueva said that police officers are preparing for the possible surge of visitors in the cemetery on the last day of the long weekend.
