Aaradhya Bachchan took Abhishek, Aishwarya to Ariana Grande’s concert, says ‘Guru’ actor: ‘I didn’t even know one song, but that woman could sing, unbelievable!’

Abhishek Bachchan may not be familiar with all the music his teenage daughter Aaradhya Bachchan listens to, but a recent experience with her left him thoroughly impressed. The actor-entrepreneur recently attended an Ariana Grande concert with his daughter and admitted that he did not know even one of her songs, but was blown away by the singer’s voice and stage presence.Abhishek was asked about the musical artistes he enjoys listening to. He named several legendary Hindi film composers and singers before revealing how Aaradhaya’s music choices have introduced him to a younger generation of international artistes.“Kishore Kumar is a personal favourite. I love listening to Hindi film music, especially the older ones: RD Burman, SD Burman, Kalyanji Anandji, Laxmikant Pyarelal, Bappi Lahiri, they are all just brilliant.

I enjoy that,” he said in an interview with BBC Asian Network.Talking about his daughter’s “eclectic” taste in music, Abhishek added, “I have a 14-year-old at home, so there is a lot of Olivia Rodrigo and

Taylor Swift

and

Ariana Grande

. But thankfully, she also loves 80s music and she is getting into Bon Jovi, and Van Halen and Metallica so that’s fun. She has got an eclectic sense of music, so I am safe. I don’t have to just listen to all these…”The actor then recalled accompanying Aaradhya to an Ariana Grande concert during their summer break.

While he went into the concert unfamiliar with the singer’s music, he came away deeply impressed.“On our summer break, we were abroad and she took us to see an Ariana Grande concert. I didn’t even know one song, but that woman could sing. Oh my god! The quality of the voice… unbelievable, and to see the fandom that these young singers have is unbelievable. I think they are all so immensely talented, and I know as an older generation like, ‘Oh no no, we don’t want to listen to Taylor Swift.’

No, they actually make great music.

”Abhishek was last seen in

Riteish Deshmukh

’s Marathi film ‘Raja Shivaji’. He will next be seen playing an antagonist in

Shah Rukh Khan

’s upcoming film ‘King’, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film features Shah Rukh in the lead along with his daughter Suhana Khan, while Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Arshad Warsi are also part of the cast. ‘King’ is scheduled to release on December 24, a week after ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Dune 3’.The film marks Shah Rukh’s return to the big screen after his hugely successful 2023 releases ‘Pathaan’, ‘Jawan’ and ‘Dunki’.
