EastEnders star Lacey Turner shares show return update in Natalie Cassidy chat

EastEnders star Lacey Turner has shared an update on her return to the show in a new chat with fellow Walford icon Natalie Cassidy. The star was last seen as Stacey Slater a year ago, and has been keeping busy since, including in recent months on Strictly Come Dancing as well as with family life.
Appearing on Natalie's Life with Nat podcast, Lacey was pressed on whether she will be back on Albert Square anytime soon, to which the Stacey star jokingly responded: "Are you? I'll come when you come."
Lacey then clarified: "I would love to one day, but right now there's just no time."

The star went on to reveal she has enjoyed "such a lovely year at home" since her departure, having a "lovely time with the kids and my garden, doing my veg, being with my chickens".
"I just think I so needed to just stop for a minute," she continued, before opening up about her baby daughter Gispy, whom she welcomed early last year.
"And obviously I've got Gipsy, and I'm not having any more children because I'm so completely outnumbered, and I can't even keep up with the three I've got! So it's just been so nice to just have her, and I've kept her a baby for ages. She's only just started walking, literally."
Sharing an anecdote about her baby, Lacey revealed: "Poor thing, she was watching Strictly and she was walking and [son] Trilby's going, 'she's walking, she's walking'. And we're going, 'shhh, shhh!' And then we were like, 'oh my God, she's walking!' Poor third child."

The update comes after it was reported last month that Lacey could be returning as a guest star for some special episodes around the New Year, before coming back proper in 2027.
In other news, Lacey has revealed that she and co-star Louisa Lytton (Ruby Allen) got a "very serious telling off" from show bosses in their early days after being a "mischievous" pair.
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
