Tiffany Stratton's Money In The Bank Cash-In Goes Wrong On WWE SmackDown As Liv Morgan Gets Saved

Tiffany Stratton went after a Women's World Championship match with Liv Morgan on the October 23 SmackDown, and The Judgment Day ended up spoiling it. She came out during the post-match brawl with Chelsea Green, IYO SKY and Morgan's faction, cleared the ring, and grabbed her Money in the Bank briefcase to cash in. Morgan swung the briefcase at her during the confrontation but missed. The contract lets the holder pick the moment for a title match, so Stratton got ready to make her challenge. But Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez pulled Morgan away before the referee could start things.

Tiffany Stratton Returns and Targets Liv Morgan

Stratton's return came right after Green retained the WWE Women's Championship against Perez. Green had to get through interference from Rodriguez, who knocked her off the turnbuckle while the referee was distracted. IYO SKY showed up to confront Rodriguez, and Green then countered Perez's Pop Rox into the Un-Pretty-Her for the pinfall win.

The celebration didn't last long. Morgan attacked Green after the match and Rodriguez joined in. SKY tried to help, but Perez got involved too, so the two women were struggling against The Judgment Day.

Then Stratton's entrance changed the numbers game. She helped fight off the group, and for a short time the ring was clear enough for her to think about using the contract. She gave the briefcase to the referee and indicated she wanted to cash in, but the official didn't begin the match before Morgan got taken out of reach.

The Failed Attempt Leaves Stratton With Her Contract

Stratton still has the briefcase after the failed cash-in. The referee never officially started the championship match, so she got no title opportunity and Morgan didn't have to defend her championship.

Cageside Seats reviewer Geno Mrosko wasn't happy with the segment either. He questioned the repeated cash-in routine and wrote that the delay made the people involved look “dumb, bad, incompetent, or some combination of all three.”

Elsewhere on SmackDown, Michin and B-Fab won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship from Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley after Jade Cargill interfered. Blake Monroe also beat Giulia in a Street Fight, and Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton agreed to meet in a Last Man Standing match at Crown Jewel.

Green is scheduled to defend her Women's Championship against Nikki Bella on next week's SmackDown.
