Dozens of smashed-up police cars have been spotted piled up four vehicles high at a scrapyard in Oxfordshire.
Around 64 police cars, which would have cost around £2.5 million when new, have been spotted stacked up at ASM Auto Recycling in Thame.
The two-vehicle-thick wall of police cars, which are all smashed and damaged, is stacked up four vehicles high.
Many of the ruined Metropolitan Police cars have lost their windows and doors, while others have smashed bonnets and bumpers.
The 20-acre site, which specialises in dismantling vehicles which have been involved in accidents and cannot be repaired, also features a number of police vans.
Giant JCBs at the impressive plant use pincers to rip apart the scrap cars and separate the different vehicle parts into piles, which are then taken away and recycled.
The huge operation recycles 95 per cent of the materials from every car it scraps and holds more than 100,000 recycled vehicle parts.
The Daily Mail has approached the Metropolitan Police for comment.
