Bela Padilla’s beau brings flowers at actress’ red carpet movie premiere

Bela Padilla received a sweet show of support from her rumored boyfriend, Martin Tan, during the red carpet premiere of her upcoming film “Life After You” with Diamond Star Maricel Soriano.

Tan, who sported a light blue button up long sleeved polo, was spotted among the crowd on Monday, Sept. 7, at a mall in Mandaluyong, waiting for Padilla’s arrival at the red carpet. He was holding a bouquet of flowers. 

The rumored boyfriend tried to keep to himself during the event. While he did not hand the flowers to Padilla in front of many people, his appearance at the premiere comes amid ongoing speculation about their relationship.

Padilla has yet to publicly confirm that she and Tan are a couple.

The actress previously acknowledged that there was someone special in her life who had been making her smile.

At the “Life After You” premiere, Padilla was asked who she would bring as her date. She playfully answered that her date for the evening would be Soriano, whom she affectionately called “Inay Marya.”

Soriano, for her part, also weighed in on Padilla’s love life, saying she would be informed if the actress gets into a relationship.

“Kapag nagka-jowa si Bela sasabihin niya sa akin,” Soriano said. “Ay kailangan i-approve ko.”

In “Life After You,” Soriano plays Bella, a widow, mother, and grandmother who wants to remain part of her granddaughter Denise’s life after her son, Carl (Marlo Mortel), refuses to acknowledge her as his own mother.

Padilla portrays Joey, a devoted sister to Dianne (Ryza Cenon) and aunt to niece Denise. Following a tragic event, Joey has put her dreams aside to care for her sister’s child.

Directed by Marla Ancheta, the film also stars Krissha Viaje, MJ Cayabyab, Andrea Babierra, Peach Caparas, Gardo Versoza and Rey PJ Abellana.
