Lorenzo Lucca’s agent has denied reports the Napoli player’s brother posted criticism of Kevin De Bruyne after their altercation on the pitch in Porto. ‘It is a fake social media account.’
The two teammates clashed very publicly during the 4-1 Champions League defeat to FC Porto midweek, when they were caught on camera exchanging insults and tense words.
The matter was expanded when some repeated a TikTok statement made by someone claiming to be Lucca’s brother, Giovanni, that was critical of De Bruyne’s attitude and performance.
However, today Lucca’s agent came forward to news agency Ansa and warned this was only a hoax.

“We can categorically deny that Lucca’s brother made any statement on social media, it was a profile that has nothing to do with his brother, whose name is actually Riccardo,” agent Giuseppe Riso announced.
“It is unfair to spread fake news, creating controversy only to damage the reputation and image of players, with nobody doing due diligence.”

The tension at Napoli is sky high following that 4-1 defeat, as President Aurelio De Laurentiis put the whole squad into a training retreat to prepare for tomorrow’s game against Lazio.
Coach Max Allegri had a press conference scheduled for this afternoon and cancelled with 10 minutes to spare, when the media was already assembled.
