Man charged after driver attacked and thrown off bus in Telford

A man has been charged after a bus driver was allegedly attacked and thrown off a bus that ploughed into several vehicles.
Officers were called at around 6.37pm on Friday to Court Street in Madeley, Telford, West Mercia Police said.
The bus driver was treated for minor injuries by paramedics.
No-one else is believed to have been injured.
Ali Balhad, aged 33, has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking, assault, attempted grievous bodily harm, driving a motor vehicle dangerously, robbery, theft from a store, threats to kill, and three counts of criminal damage.
Balhad, who is a Yemeni national and who is believed to have been in the Telford area for around a week, has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Telford Magistrates’ Court on Monday, police said.
