Check out Asake’s rumored submissions for the 2027 Grammy awards
Fresh reports revealing Asake’s submission across different categories for the 2027 Grammy awards have emerged.
Nigerian Afrobeats star Asake is reportedly setting his sights on the 2027 Grammy Awards, with several of his projects rumoured to have been submitted for consideration across major categories.
According to a list circulating online, the singer is seeking recognition in some of the Recording Academy’s most prestigious categories, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
His project, M$NEY, is reportedly being considered for two categories: Album of the Year and Best Global Music Album.
Asake’s collaboration with fellow Nigerian superstar Wizkid, titled Jogodo, is also rumoured to have been submitted for Best African Music Performance, a category introduced at the 2024 Grammy Awards to recognise African musical excellence.
Another song, Gratitude, reportedly features in three categories: Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best African Music Performance. If confirmed, these submissions would position the track for consideration in two of the ceremony’s biggest general-field categories.
Meanwhile, Worship, Asake’s collaboration with French-Algerian DJ and producer DJ Snake, is reportedly being considered for Best Dance Pop Recording, reflecting the singer’s growing exploration of sounds beyond traditional Afrobeats.
