The National Security Council issued a warning for Wednesday, amid the third anniversary of the October 7 massacre, stating that there is an increased threat against Israelis and Jews abroad, alongside demonstrations and riots, in a Tuesday statement.

"Terrorist organizations, and particularly Iran and its proxies [including] Hamas, and Global Jihad factions, see this date as a significant milestone," the NSC wrote.

The NSC issued several advisories, including to "avoid posting advance information on social media regarding travel or movements abroad."

The NSC also advised to "avoid traveling to destinations under a Level 4 travel warning [which includes] Jordan, Qatar, Somaliland, and Egypt, including the Sinai Peninsula."

"In Level 3 destinations, minimize speaking Hebrew in crowded places," and "stay away from demonstrations and large gatherings," the NSC said.

NSC reminds Israelis not to post social media content reflecting military service

"Do not post on social media [any] content that reflects your service in the security forces [including the IDF and police]," it added.

"In an emergency, contact local security forces first," the NSC said, but noted that there is a 24/7 terror-related travel alert hotline that can be reached at +972-2-666-7444.

IDF, Shin Bet, Israel Police chiefs hold 'joint multi-arena situational assessment'

Meanwhile, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir, Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) Director David Zini, and Israel Police Commissioner Daniel Levi held a "joint, multi-arena situational assessment as part of preparations for the sensitive period over the coming weeks," a joint statement from the three security agencies said.

"As part of the situational assessment, the intelligence picture along the borders and on the home front was presented, and efforts to improve and strengthen defense, combat terrorism, and address the phenomenon of nationalist crime were detailed," the joint statement said.

"The heads of the organizations agreed on a series of immediate measures to leverage each organization’s relative advantages and ensure the proper and secure conduct of the upcoming elections," they added.
