“Mahigpit na ipinagbabawal ang pumalaot o mangisda gamit ang anumang uri ng sasakyang pandagat para sa kaligtasan ng lahat (Going out on the water or fishing using any type of watercraft is strictly prohibited for everyone’s safety),” the city government said in its public advisory.

The city government urged residents to monitor weather conditions and official advisories through the City Government of Muntinlupa – OFFICIAL and Muntinlupa City Department of Disaster Resilience and Management Facebook pages.

For emergencies, residents were reminded to save the city’s emergency hotline at 137-175.

Habagat to persist

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said moderate to heavy rains were expected over six provinces in Luzon on Monday, with the habagat forecast to bring 50 to 100 millimeters of rain over Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Zambales and Bataan.
