Ralphie Albert, the Surrey allrounder, will lead an 18-player squad for the England Under-19 tour of Pakistan in December, with Nottinghamshire's Farhan Ahmed named as vice-captain.

The tour, which comprises three Youth ODIs and a Test, all in Rawalpindi, will begin with a 12-day training camp in Sri Lanka, from November 19-30.

The squad will be overseen on an interim basis by Neil Killeen, the former Durham seamer, who has taken over as Young Lions' head coach for their winter programme - which also includes a trip to Australia in the new year - following Mike Yardy's appointment as Elite National Batting Lead.

Kileen will be supported by a coaching team of Joe Denly, Steve Mullaney and Kyle Hogg.

"I am really looking forward to leading an exciting group of young players and coaches across their winter programme," Killeen said.

"This is an opportunity for these young players to experience new countries and conditions and for our coaching team to help develop their game in a world-class environment, which will only help in their journey towards international cricket.

"Sri Lanka is an excellent venue for our training camp, where we can build towards what we know will be a tough contest in Pakistan following our series in the summer."

The squad's uncapped players include Worcestershire left-arm seamer Jeet Varaich, who has earned his first Young Lions call-up.

Marley Simpson and Lyke Symington will join the squad only for the training camp in Sri Lanka, while Charlie Taylor and Manny Lumsden will meet up with the squad in Rawalpindi and will be managed on individual programmes for developing fast bowlers.

England U19s Men squad: Ralphie Albert (capt), Farhan Ahmed, Subhaan Ali, Robbie Bowman, Tom Bradley, Thomas Edwards, Luke Hands, Theo Lamey, Manny Lumsden, Bertie Michael, Isaac Mohammad, Joe Moores, Jack Nelson, Leo Selvey-Clinton, Marley Simpson, Luke Symington, Charlie Taylor, Jeet Varaich
