Pinamonti set for Lazio medical as Ratkov opens door to Sevilla

Andrea Pinamonti has been given clearance to travel to Rome for his Lazio medical, with the striker due in the capital on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Sassuolo granted the authorisation having all but concluded a deal for Sebastiano Esposito, whose arrival from Cagliari is in its final stages. The Neroverdi were unwilling to release Pinamonti before securing his replacement.
Ratkov opens door to Lazio departure
Lazio are also making progress on departures after Petar Ratkov has opened up to a move for the first time this summer, having previously rejected approaches from Dinamo Moscow, Southampton and Red Star Belgrade.
Sevilla are the club he has given the green light to, and they are now weighing it up. The Spanish side view the striker as an option for their forward line and would structure any deal as a loan with an option to buy.
His exit, combined with that of Gabriele Artistico to Serie B, would clear the way for Lazio to add a second striker after Padova reportedly closed in on a deal on Wednesday.
Gennaro Gattuso had asked the club for a centre-forward before the window closes, having opened the season with Boulaye Dia leading the line in the 1-0 win at Bologna.
