EastEnders confirms Ash's Walford future in new update as Suki feud escalates

EastEnders’ Suki Panesar-Unwin probes into her daughter Ash’s personal life next week, resulting in a bitter war of words between mother and daughter! Is their relationship set to get much worse before it gets better?

Suspicious of her estranged daughter’s sudden return to Walford, Suki decides to call Ash’s wife, Gigi. However, when Suki tells Eve about what she’s done, Eve makes it clear she disapproves…

"Ash has supposedly been living the high life in Canada and loved-up with Gigi, so Suki can’t fathom why she’d return to Walford – especially given the fractured nature of their mother-daughter relationship," begins our EastEnders insider.

"Eve is reproachful when she hears about Suki’s phone call with Gigi and warns her against pushing for answers behind her daughter’s back. But exactly what Suki discovers from Ash’s wife remains to be seen…"

During Nugget’s surprise birthday party at Harry’s Barn, Suki quizzes Ash on her wife and her reason for returning. But her line of questioning causes Ash to realise that her mum has been secretly snooping into her private life!

Although Vinny and Penny encourage Ash to make her peace with Suki, she stubbornly refuses.

Tensions become even more strained when Suki refuses to allow her daughter to work at Panesar House Surgery, causing Ash to acquire the job by nefarious means…

"Nugget has inherited the doctor’s surgery, so Ash goes straight to him and persuades him to hire her," explains our source. "It’s a sneaky move and a huge stab in the back for Suki.

"But Ash is determined to stick around, and she needs a job to do so – with or without her mum’s help! It’s unfortunate that Nugget is caught in the crossfire, but no Panesar is safe in the blistering war between Suki and Ash."

After winning Nugget round, Ash drops the bombshell on her blindsided mum that she’ll be working at the surgery. Diplomatic Eve attempts to keep the peace between the sparring women, but there’s more fury sparked when Suki tries to talk Nugget out of hiring Ash.

However, when Denise collapses in the Square, Ash’s medical instincts are activated and she leaps to her aid, putting a pin in her feud with Suki for now.

Will seeing Ash do what she’s best at convince Suki to let her have a job at the surgery? Or will it take more than that to thaw her frosty attitude towards her daughter?
