A Gold Coast rugby league club is mourning the loss of two boys who had taken their own lives within days of each other.

The deaths of Coomera Cutters players Treyvon Bradshaw, 13, and Kaiyah Kennedy, 12, left the club and the community to grapple with dual tragedies.

A Cutters spokesperson, posting on social media, announced Kennedy’s death on Sunday.

The Coomera Cutters announced the death of Treyvon Bradshaw last week. GoFundMe

“Yet another Coomera Cutters Rugby League child [passed] from suicide this week,” they said.

“This is the second incident this week.

“Young Treyvon was 13 and Kaiyah is only 12, still young boys.

“We can’t believe we’re sharing news like this, it’s unbelievable.”

Kaiyah Kennedy was just 12 years old. GoFundMe

In a separate post commemorating the boys, the club spokesperson urged all players and children to reach out to someone if they were feeling alone.

“If you don’t feel comfortable talking to your family, please talk to coaches, managers, or the parents on the sideline,” the poster said.

“We are here to listen, support you, and to help you through the darkness.”

Separate online fundraisers set up for the families of the boys had raised a combined $50,000 as of Tuesday morning.
