Hogwarts Legacy: Gaunt Manor Lets You Explore An Entirely New Location

As one of the ancient, pure-blood wizarding families in the Harry Potter universe, the Gaunts maternal line is responsible for the birth of none other than Lord Voldemort himself. As the direct descendants of Salazar Slytherin, it is safe to say that the Gaunts were not remembered too fondly, but with their story not being explored too much in both the book and movie series, this brand-new download is guaranteed to shine a light on the pure-blood family.

Released back in 2023 and becoming the best-selling game of the year, Hogwarts Legacy has been somewhat left in the dust in recent years due to the lack of post-game content. Despite a brief summer update that merely offered a handful of brand-new cosmetics, there has been nothing to keep fans from coming back. Well, at least officially.

As with every RPG available to play on PC, Hogwarts Legacy has a dedicated modding community behind it, and they are the sole reason why the Harry Potter RPG is still as popular as it is to this day.

One such example of a mod keeping the game alive is Gaunt Manor, a brand-new dungeon mod from user filit_. As their first dungeon mod, this one will allow players to explore Gaunt Manor, and enjoy custom designs, interiors, and even discoverable letters that include some intriguing lore.

"Located near Little Hangleton, where the snakes start to sing," the official description reads. "Before the manor became increasingly marked by the growing poverty and neglect of the Gaunt family, losing the splendor of more glorious times, it was the impressive family estate of one branch of the direct descendants of Salazar Slytherin. Even in 1890, the first signs of decay could already be seen, but the magic of the powerful family legacy was still palpable."

In the Gaunt Manor mod, players can explore the home of Ominis' family, with an emphasis being on exploration and discovery. On top of this, and as previously mentioned, there are five letters to find around the manor which aim to give you an impression of the Gaunt family in the creator's headcanon.

The dungeon entrance which will take you to Gaunt Manor is located on the beach of Feldcroft, and you can head over to the official mod page to find its exact location marked on the Hogwarts Legacy map.

You may not be battling for your life in the Gaunt Manor mod, but you will get to explore a brand-new location, appreciate the modder's custom interiors and decoration, and even snap some photos. Of course, you will also delve more into the Gaunt family as you go, with Easter eggs and letters scattered throughout.
