Proton VPN’s Early Black Friday Sale Lets You Stream International TV for 75 Percent Off

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, The Hollywood Reporter may receive an affiliate commission.

Between the ongoing second season of Celebrity Traitors UK, the November return of British crime drama Shetland and a stacked lineup of international sporting events, the biggest games and buzziest shows aren’t necessarily airing in the States. And for U.S. viewers, that’s when a VPN becomes a nonnegotiable.

With lots of noteworthy premieres on the horizon (and plenty more benefits to using a Virtual Private Network), Proton introduces its deepest discount of 2026. From Oct. 26 through Dec. 1, The Hollywood Reporter readers can secure 75 percent off the VPN Plus plan, providing access to top TV shows and movies for just $2.49 per month for 24 months (regularly priced at $9.99 per month).

Alternatively, the Proton Unlimited package, the service’s most comprehensive single-user package, is currently 50 percent off for 12 months. Regularly priced at $12.99 per month, it now comes out to $6.49 monthly during the Black Friday promo.

Both of Proton’s current Black Friday deals are exclusive to THR readers through this link.

For context, Proton VPN Plus offers access to 20,000-plus servers across 140-plus countries, letting users stream endless movies and TV otherwise not available in the States. As for safety, VPN Plus blocks ads, trackers and malware, with the ability to secure 10 devices at a time.

Proton Unlimited includes everything the VPN Plus plan has to offer in addition to Proton Mail (an encrypted inbox), Proton Pass (a password manager), Proton Drive (cloud storage), Proton Docs and Sheets (for collaborative editing) and 500 GB of cloud storage.
