Sherrock one of 24 'amateurs' taking on Littler

Women's world number three Fallon Sherrock has been named among 24 contestants bidding to beat Luke Littler and walk away with £501,000.

The 'amateurs' will each take on Littler in a single leg of 501 and anyone who can beat the two-time reigning world champion will be in line for the cash prize.

It is part of Netflix's new special 'Beat Luke Littler', which will be broadcast live from the Manchester Central Convention Complex on 30 October.

Sherrock has been a pioneering figure in darts since she became the first woman to win a match at the PDC World Championship when she beat Ted Evetts in 2019.

Fellow teenagers Mitchell Lawrie and Jayden Walker will also be among those hoping to defeat 19-year-old Littler, who shot to fame in 2024 when, aged 16, he reached the final of the PDC World Darts Championship.

Scotland's Lawrie, 15, became the first teenager to reach a WDF World Championship final last year, while he is a two-time world youth champion.

Walker, meanwhile, won the England International Open earlier this month to become the youngest winner of a senior WDF title - a record previously held by Littler.

Littler became the youngest world champion in history by winning the 2025 world title at the age of 17 - a title he defended 12 months later.

The audition process took place across London and Manchester in September and started with participants trying to complete a leg of 501 in 24 darts or fewer.

Successful players then progressed to an interview with the show's producers before a final stage assessment with a judging panel, which included 16-time world darts champion Phil Taylor, Matchroom founder Barry Hearn and professional darts player and TV pundit Laura Turner.
