American Horror Story is back with its highly anticipated 13th season, but staying true to the show’s tradition, it won’t be released all at once. The horror genre continues to be quite popular on TV, and there has been a bit of everything from this genre in recent years – from sci-fi horror like Alien: Earth to supernatural horror like The Haunting of Hill House and adaptations like Carrie. A horror show that has remained consistently popular for over a decade, despite some failures in recent seasons, is American Horror Story.

After trying something new with American Horror Story: Delicate, the only season to date based on a book (Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine), the show is going back to its traditional style of an original story, but with an old twist. For its 13th season, simply titled American Horror Story: 13, the show is repeating its Apocalypse trick and is the second crossover in the show’s history, bringing together characters from Murder House, Asylum, Coven, Freak Show, Hotel, Cult, Apocalypse, and Double Feature.

Because of that, American Horror Story: 13 has a massive cast with some of the show’s most beloved frequent collaborators and new additions, so it’s easy to see why it’s one of the most anticipated TV releases of 2026. As mentioned above, American Horror Story: 13 won’t be released all at once, and instead will follow the show’s traditional format of weekly releases, but the schedule will be beneficial to fans of the show.

What Time New Episodes Of American Horror Story Season 13 Release On FX & Hulu Every Week

Although the rise of streaming platforms and direct releases on them have completely changed the way TV shows are scheduled, American Horror Story still follows a weekly schedule, but with a slight change. Starting with season 10, Double Feature, American Horror Story has been releasing two episodes on the same day, usually the first two to hook the audience and keep the conversation going from the beginning (although Delicate went for one per week, but was divided into two parts).

American Horror Story: 13 will release three episodes in its first two weeks, followed by two per week and the finale airing alone. Luckily for viewers, American Horror Story will be released on both FX and Hulu, ensuring that all those looking forward to it will have a chance to enjoy it and avoid spoilers. Episodes of American Horror Story: 13 will air on FX and stream on Hulu at 9:00 PM ET/6:00 PM PT, with the second episode of the week airing at 9:30 PM/6:30 PM and the third at 10:00 PM/7:00 PM.

American Horror Story Season 13 Full Episode Schedule & Runtimes Explained

As mentioned above, American Horror Story: 13 will release its first three episodes on its premiere day, three more the following week, two episodes in the following weeks, with the finale airing all by itself. Thanks to this format, American Horror Story: 13 will run from September 24, 2026, to October 29, 2026, so those looking forward to the show’s exciting return will now have something new to watch every Thursday.

American Horror Story: 13 will have shorter episodes that run between 22 and 33 minutes, a notable change from the show’s nearly hour-long runtime. However, AHS: 13 is going back to the show’s old episode count and will appropriately have a total of 13 episodes, which fans will surely appreciate, as the episode count has been reduced since Roanoke (10 episodes), with Delicate only having nine episodes, being the shortest season alongside 1984.

As for the episodes’ titles, at the time of writing, only the titles for the final three episodes haven’t been revealed. While some titles are very obvious or easy to interpret with the context given by the official synopsis and trailers for the season, such as “The Return of Devil’s Night” and “The Devil Is in the Details”, others are a bit cryptic ahead of 13’s release.

American Horror Story has kept plot details for 13 under wraps all this time, but with the return of the witches, deceased characters, and more, it has been widely theorized that this season will see the rise of the new Antichrist. Of course, it’s possible that American Horror Story has been misleading the audience and it will have a different story, but it has the potential to save the show and bring it back to its former glory.
