President Prabowo Subianto opened a plenary cabinet meeting titled “The First Two Years of Government Work for the Country” at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday.

On this occasion, he expressed his appreciation to the ranks of the Red and White Cabinet while highlighting the various global challenges faced by the government over the last two years.

According to him, his administration had spent its first two years addressing various challenges, from geopolitical conflicts to intensifying global economic and trade competition.

"We have worked together for two years, we have carried out the mandate of our people for two years. We have faced various challenges," Prabowo said when opening the plenary cabinet session.

He noted that the global landscape is marked by multiple crises, conflicts, and wars across various regions. Beyond armed conflicts, countries are also competing in the economic and trade sectors, including through tariff policies.

These developments affect countries worldwide as economies become increasingly integrated and interdependent.

"We are in a global situation characterized by world hegemony between great powers. This global condition will inevitably affect all countries, because our world is integrated, we depend on each other," the president remarked.

He then highlighted the impact of weather changes which trigger various upheavals, especially since Indonesia is located in the Ring of Fire area with the potential to face natural disasters.

However, Prabowo said Indonesia's geographical and geological conditions also present opportunities with fertile soil and abundant mineral resources.

During the session, the head of state also thanked and commended all members of the Red and White Cabinet for their cooperation over the past two years.

He emphasized that the government's success depends not only on individual capabilities but also on the team's cohesion and ability to work together toward common goals.

Prabowo also urged cabinet members to recognize the achievements made during the first two years of his administration. He said these accomplishments were a source of pride but should not lead to complacency.

"I am proud to lead you because, over the past two years, we have delivered tangible results," he said.
