Juventus struck twice in the final 20 minutes to beat Napoli in a high-pressure encounter for both coaches. Luciano Spalletti had come under scrutiny after a run of poor results, ‌while Napoli coach Massimiliano Allegri, who served a touchline ban, has also faced criticism following his side’s sluggish start to the season.

Juventus defender Juan Cabal hit the woodwork during an open first half, but neither side could break the deadlock before the interval.

Kerim Alajbegovic put Juventus ahead in the 70th minute, driving towards the edge of the area before unleashing a screamer into the top corner.

Napoli’s task became harder five minutes ‌later when Luca Marianucci received a second yellow card for a stamp on Cabal.
