Archery (Men's Compound Individual Round of 32): Ganesh Mani Ratnam Thirumuru defeated Sostar Andaru Rinaldi (Indonesia) 144–142.

Archery (Men's Compound Individual Round of 16): Ganesh Mani Ratnam Thirumuru defeated Sahil Jadhav 149–148 to qualify for the quarter-finals on 1 October.

Surfing (Men's Shortboard Round 3): Sivaraj Babu lost 7.83–11.50 to Jayuard Alciso (Philippines).

Asian Games 2026 LIVE: Women's Team Squash

A thriller to kick off the squash team campaign as India's Shameeza Riaz surrenders a 2-0 lead before ultimately going down 3-2 (11-8, 11-6, 9-11, 9-11, 14-12) to Yin Ziyuan of China.

After Riaz claimed the opening two games, the Chinese player fought back to force a decider. The final game went right down to the wire, deadlocked at 9-9, 10-10, 11-11, and 12-12, before Yin finally clinched the win.

India’s Sahil Jadhav and Ganesh Mani Ratnam Thirumuru kicked off their men's individual compound campaign with strong round-of-32 victories. Jadhav defeated Mongolia's Jamiyangombo Purevdorj 149-137, while Ganesh edged Indonesia's Sostar Andaru Rinaldi 144-142.

The wins set up an all-Indian round-of-16 clash, where Ganesh narrowly edged out Jadhav 149-148 after a crucial 30-29 advantage in the final end.
