Marseille conceded their third defeat in three Europa League games on Thursday in Graz, as an early goal was enough to seal the three points for the hosts.

There were mixed fortunes for the other French clubs in Europe, as Lyon fell to a heavy defeat against Hoffenheim (3-0), Rennes clinched an impressive draw away to Juventus (2-2), and Monaco breezed past Freiburg (3-0).

The full routes for next year's Tour de France have been revealed, with the UK hosting the opening stages for both the men's and women's races. The men's Tour will set off from Edinburgh before passing through Liverpool and Cardiff, while the women's race will begin in Leeds.

Belgium's tennis veteran David Goffin saw his career come to a close on Thursday with a second-round defeat in front of his home crowd in Brussels. The 35-year-old has six titles to his name and was the first Belgian to break into the ATP rankings top 10.
