Downton Abbey star's "explosive divorce" drama packed with "deceit and betrayal" is out now

Downton Abbey star Dominic West and Sienna Miller's "bold" and "explosive divorce" drama WAR is out now. Described as such by Sky in a press release, Miller has teased that the eight-part legal series will be "pretty ugly", when she told Digital Spy: "The gloves are off."
"It's about deceit and betrayal," Miller expanded further. "No one's particularly nice."
Miller and West play a powerful husband and wife duo, Miller as international film star Carla Duval and West as tech entrepreneur Morgan Henderson, whose divorce quickly derails into all out war when stoked by their feuding law firms.

The synopsis states: "[WAR] delves into the high-stakes lives of London's most powerful lawyers as firms Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne clash over a headline-grabbing legal battle, drawing ambitious young lawyer Jonathan "Johnny" Warren, played by Archie Renaux (Alien: Romulus, Upgraded), into a ruthless world where ambition is currency, betrayal is strategy and winning is everything."
Series one of the two series order follows Morgan and Carla's story as their "law firms Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne stop at nothing to secure victory for their clients".
Phoebe Fox and James McArdle also star as business partners and couple Serena Byrne and Nicholas Taylor fronting up the law firm Taylor & Byrne.
Speaking of the stakes for Serena and Nick, McArdle told Digital Spy: "It's a big risk for T&B. It's a big risk for them to set up this law firm so young – they are quite young to be as high up as they are and their reputation is everything when it comes to this case because it's the biggest case so far."
Meanwhile Nina Sosanya and Pip Torrens star as their legal sparring partners at Cathcarts & Sons, Beatrice "Queen Bea" Ubosi and St John Smallwood respectively.
"[These] characters cultivate their ruthlessness to be better at their job," Torrens told Digital Spy when explaining their approach to their characters. "They're almost performing to each other," added Sosanya.

The ensemble cast is also padded out by Celia Imrie, Emma Laird, Nick Mohammed, Aran Murphy, Adrian Scarborough, Archie Panjabi, Shaheen Jafargholi, Akiya Henry, Miles Jupp, Kartanya Maynard, Honor Swinton Byrne, Alexandra Mardell, Mark Quartley, Dylan Edwards and Steve Furst.
Series two will pick up with the same rival law firms but will instead centre around a bitter defamation case with actors Marisa Tomei (MCU's Spider-Man), Kelly Macdonald (Line of Duty and Lanterns), David Harewood (Sherwood), and Richard Schiff rounding out the cast.
WAR is available to watch on Sky and streaming service NOW.
