Man killed in hit-and-run near Ballarat
Victorian detectives are investigating a fatal hit-and-run in the Ballarat suburb of Canadian overnight.
Police say a green Ford Fiesta struck a man on Butt Street just after midnight.
CPR was administered but he died at the scene.
The car did not have numberplates and was found on nearby Elsworth Street.
Police are appealing for anyone in the area to check their CCTV and dash cam and any witnesses are urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
