Liam Gallagher says he turned down offer to appear on The Celebrity Traitors

Liam Gallagher has said he was offered a spot on The Celebrity Traitors but turned it down.
In response to a social media user expressing their wish to see the Oasis star on the hit BBC show, Gallagher said he has no desire to do it.
Responding to the X post saying: “They should put Liam on Celebrity Traitors,” Gallagher wrote: “I’ve been asked it’s not my thing I’m not a celebrity.”
The BBC declined to comment.
The show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, sees contestants try to detect the traitors in the group while completing a series of challenges to win funds to contribute towards the prize pot.
If, at the end of the series, at least one traitor is left among the finalists when they collectively decide to end the game, the faithfuls – those who are not traitors – lose out on the money and the traitor or traitors win the full prize.
The second season of the celebrity version launched on Thursday, with the premiere becoming the most watched debut episode of any series of the programme in the UK, with an average of 8.9 million viewers.

The current season features stars including TV presenter Maya Jama, actors Michael Sheen and Richard E Grant, singer James Blunt and comedians Romesh Ranganathan and Rob Beckett.
On the second episode, journalist Amol Rajan was murdered by traitors Jama and Grant, while comedian James Acaster was recruited to become the third traitor.
It ended on a cliff-hanger when Grant came under the spotlight during the first roundtable after he previously slipped up and admitted he was a traitor, however viewers were left not knowing who had been banished from the castle.
The Celebrity Traitors continues on Thursday at 8pm on BBC One.
