Samidoh Responds to Edday Nderitu’s Heartfelt Birthday Message Amid Reconciliation

Musician and politician Samuel Muchoki, popularly known as Samidoh, has responded warmly to a birthday message from his wife, Edday Nderitu, in another public display of affection as the couple continue to rebuild their relationship.

Edday took to Instagram to celebrate Samidoh’s birthday, sharing a heartfelt tribute in which she wished him well and reflected on the bond they share.

In her message, she wrote:

She went on to reflect on the significance of their relationship, adding:

Edday concluded the tribute with another affectionate message, writing:

The musician also acknowledged other birthday wishes on his main social media profile, writing:

A relationship that endured public challenges

The affectionate exchange comes after years of public relationship challenges involving the couple, who had been married for approximately 15 years before their differences became widely publicised.

Their marital difficulties attracted considerable attention following Samidoh’s relationship with nominated Senator Karen Nyamu.

In February 2023, Edday addressed the situation publicly, revealing that she had endured years of pain and humiliation. She also made it clear that she was unwilling to raise her children in a polygamous arrangement.

Later that year, Edday relocated to the United States with their children, resulting in an extended period of physical separation from Samidoh.

Recent signs of reconciliation

Despite the difficult period, the couple’s public interactions have appeared increasingly cordial in recent months.

Reports indicated that they began spending time together during Samidoh’s tours in the United States, prompting speculation that they were working towards restoring their marriage.

Earlier in 2026, the two appeared together during a live video broadcast, where they shared a kiss and interacted warmly with fans. Edday has also referred to Samidoh as her husband during recent broadcasts.

Her latest birthday tribute, followed by Samidoh’s affectionate response, adds to the public signs of improved relations between the two.
