Govinda BREAKS SILENCE on his Lalbaugcha Raja visit with Rani Swarnkar, 'a very strategically planned movement'; says his personal life is 'not a subject for anyone'

Govinda has responded to the buzz around his visit to Mumbai's Lalbaugcha Raja Pandal with his 'Roopa' co-star Rani Swarnkar. He said he went there to pray for his upcoming film and claimed the talk around his personal life is part of a planned effort to distance him from his family and damage his image.

Pictures and videos of Govinda and Rani Swarnkar at the pandal spread quickly on social media, leading to a wave of speculation among fans and users online. Addressing the attention, Govinda told ANI, "I went to Lalbaugcha to pray for my film 'Roopa'. Earlier, I visited temples with Karisma Kapoor, and it turned out to be good luck for me. My films were a big hit. I also went with Raveena Tandon and now with Rani Swarnkar.

I prayed as I am starting it again after a long time."

Reacting to the rumours about his personal life, Govinda said there was a plan behind them. He said, "It is not anyone's fault. This is a very strategically planned movement. Things are going to happen more. It was a part of the plan to distance me from my family and then tarnish my image in society. I never focused on anything other than my work… I kept working. Many would praise me."

Govinda says, 'This is not a subject for anyone'

The actor said his personal life should not be anyone's concern. He said, "This is not a subject for anyone…even if there is an affair. I am working and maintaining a professional relationship."

Family celebrations and upcoming films

Earlier, Govinda joined his family for Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations after returning from the US. He took part in the festivities with his children, Tina and Yashvardhan, and offered prayers during the Ganpati darshan.Govinda will next be seen in 'Roopa' opposite debutant Rani Swarnkar. Meanwhile, his son Yashvardhan Ahuja will make his Bollywood debut in 'Hero Ki Horrorine', which releases in theatres on January 7, 2027. The film also stars Ssunita Ahuja, Nitanshi Goel, Jamie Lever, Chunky Pandey, Brijendra Kala and Simrat Kaur Randhawa.
