See Shirtless Craig Conover Charm Fans in TV Acting Debut

Translate

Hot Goss: Being single looks good on Craig Conover, and both Madison LeCroy and his inbox agree

Craig Conover is ready for his close up.

The Southern Charm star goes shirtless and oozes leading man energy in the first look at his TV acting debut in Bravo's first-ever original scripted microdrama Charmed By a Southern Monster.

The preview, released Oct. 23, features the Sewing Down South founder flaunting his ripped upper body and bulging arm muscles while wearing only blue jeans and carrying an axe. Craig stands in front of a plantation-style mansion while flashing a sinister smirk as costar Nicole Mattox stares at him flirtatiously.

And while the 36-year-old is never afraid to bring the drama while facing off against frenemies Austen Kroll, Shep Rose and the rest of his fellow Charmers, Craig's new role will also give him a chance to demonstrate a wider range of emotions.

"The series blends soapy romance, workplace rivalry and small-town mystery," according to the network's description. "The story follows Maeve, a brilliant corporate fixer sent to convince and seduce Hunter, a rumored murderer, into selling his family’s estate."

However, appearances aren't always what they seem.

"But when she discovers that the town’s most feared man may actually be its most misunderstood," the logline continues, "and the only person who can protect her from her dangerous ex-boyfriend, Maeve becomes entangled in Hunter’s world. As family secrets and a billion-dollar development deal threaten to unravel their growing connection, she must confront her past and decide how much she’s willing to risk for love."

As for what it was like transitioning from the theatrics of reality TV to scripted drama, Craig recently spilled the sweet tea about his new career move.

NBCUniversal/Peacock

"I f--king love it," he confessed to Bravo Insider last month. "It's because I always loved the production side of things, but I wanted to do more. I like that we shoot for 12 weeks and it's great. I love the projects."

But not to worry Bravoholics, Craig's newfound love of acting doesn't mean he's leaving Southern Charm any time soon.

Bravo

"I'm not going anywhere," he added, "but I wanna do more. I love this business. So now they've been really supportive of me and just some scripted stuff, so it's fun. My favorite parts of this show is what I get to do all day at the movie, because it's collaborative, creative shooting."

Charmed By a Southern Monster premieres Monday, Nov. 9, on the Peacock app just days before Southern Charm returns for season 12 Nov. 12 on Bravo.
