Team Europe leads Team World 7-5 as Laver Cup enters decisive Day 3

It is hard to imagine that Day 3 of the Laver Cup can be as exciting and loaded with quality tennis as Day 2, but anything is possible.

Team Europe split the four matches with Team World, carrying the two point lead over from Day 1.

With a score of 7-5 and Day 3's matches worth three points each, the Laver Cup is up for grabs. The first team to score 13 points wins the Laver Cup. Team Europe needs two wins, and Team World needs three.

Team Europe is sending its next gen stars up against the Team World veterans. Some fans wanted the Spanish duo of Jodar and Alcaraz to play this match.

Mensik has played great doubles at this event, and Cobolli won a 1000-level mixed doubles title with Belinda Bencic at Indian Wells.

Doubles are always important at Laver Cup, but this one is especially signficant as both teams are trying to start the day strong.

Alexander Zverev vs. Learner Tien

Zverev will be fired up to get a singles win because he was up a set and a break on de Minaur in Day 2 and could not get the win.

He has a 2-1 head-to-head record against Tien.

Carlos Alcaraz vs. Alex de Minaur (if needed)

Alcaraz has never lost to de Minaur, with a 6-0 head-to-head record. The Spaniard may experience deja vu as he was undefeated against Fritz last year before Fritz won his first ever meeting against him at Laver Cup. Could history repeat itself if Team World is in contention?

Jodar is 0-2 against Fritz.

The Laver Cup has been good exposure for Jodar, and he has frequently been seen cheering and amping up his teammates.
