PUTRAJAYA, Aug 17 — Pakatan Harapan (PH) leaders will hold a meeting soon to discuss several matters identified following the PKR National Congress and DAP Party Conference, including efforts to accelerate reforms and address violations of the law and major scandals.

PKR information chief Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil said the messages conveyed by delegates at the PKR congress and DAP members at the conference were clear that reform efforts must be expedited and firm action taken on issues involving breaches of the law and major scandals.

“The message conveyed by the delegates at the Keadilan Congress and members at the DAP Conference was very clear that efforts to advance reforms must be accelerated and firm action must be taken, including on issues involving violations of the law and major scandals.

“As the Prime Minister has said, it is not only Tabung Haji. Felda will be looked into next, as will any other agencies, as decreed by His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong,” the Communications Minister told reporters after attending the Communications Ministry’s monthly assembly here today.

Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching and ministry secretary-general Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah were also present.

Meanwhile, Fahmi said PKR leaders expressed their appreciation to DAP for deciding to remain in the Federal Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim until the end of the current parliamentary term.

“I would like to thank the DAP leadership. Keadilan held its congress, and we did a lot of soul-searching; our friends in DAP also did the same,” he said.

He said political stability must remain a priority when deciding on any course of action, in line with the Prime Minister’s emphasis during his winding-up speech at the 2026 PKR National Congress yesterday.

Fahmi said any action taken by the parties must be guided by the interests of the people and the country, rather than political interests alone.
