‘I Dont Know if He Has That’ — NFL Analyst Unleashes on Kyler Murray’s Abilities As Vikings QB

The former Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray entered the Minnesota Vikings organization with enormous expectations, but questions about his long-term future with the franchise are something fans and analysts are raising.

The quarterback possesses amazing arm talent, but being able to use his strengths within a structured offensive system remains an important challenge.

Kyle Brandt Questions Kyler Murray's Playoff Ability

In a recent episode of "First Take", Kyle Brandt shared his views on Murray and the expectations surrounding him, saying:

"I actually disagree. I think this version, I think they're one-and-dones in the playoffs. And I also find it very funny that there are a lot of people who are all in on the Vikings who, I think, have short, selective memories about Kyler Murray. There may have been some of them at this table. But the fact is, he has never been a guy in a big-time moment. Never. We've never seen it. We talked about this, Jordan. One playoff game ever. "

"I don't think he was on this planet for that playoff game. It was one of the strangest performances I've ever seen. You can run up a good record. You can ride a defense. What I want to see is one day Brian Flores is off his game. He's not calling a good game. The pressure isn't working. The defense just doesn't have it, and the Vikings' defense is lit up. And Kyler Murray, just give me one week and say, 'I got us. I'm a captain now Veterans are there. I don't know if Kyler Murray is that guy in a January playoff game when it's like, 'I got us. We're down four with two minutes left.' I just don't think he's that guy, and I can't trust the team when he's not."

The Vikings have made a good start to the season, but the organization needs its quarterback to make accurate decisions, protect possession, and sustain drives against increasingly challenging opponents.

The coming weeks could be crucial for Murray, as his performances may influence the organization's decision about whether to keep him as a long-term option. It will be interesting to see whether he can prove his critics wrong and demonstrate that he can lead the Vikings through difficult situations, particularly when the defense struggles and the pressure is on him to deliver.

Murray will also need to demonstrate that he can remain composed under pressure and deliver when the Vikings need him the most. While his athletic ability allows him to escape pressure and create opportunities outside the pocket, playoff football often demands quick decisions, accuracy, and the ability to execute crucial plays in the final minutes.

Brandt's criticism highlights the uncertainty surrounding Murray's ability to take control of a game when everything is on the line. If he can consistently deliver in high-pressure situations, he could strengthen his position within the organization and silence his critics. However, if these concerns continue, Minnesota may have to reconsider its long-term plans at quarterback.
