Strictly Come Dancing confirms dances and songs for Week 4 – and it's Icons Week

Translate

It's Icons Week on Strictly Come Dancing this weekend, and a raft of songs and dances have been confirmed – with everyone from Adele to Ricky Martin represented. After the elimination of Melanie Walters and her professional partner Aljaž Škorjanec last weekend, who'll be sent home next?

Hoping to avoid the dreaded dance-off are Lacey Turner and Vito Coppola dancing an American Smooth to 'Hometown Glory' by Adele, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Alexis Warr with a James Brown medley for their Couples' Choice, and Dame Sarah Storey and Julian Caillon with a Tango to Shania Twain's 'That Don't Impress Me Much'.

Elsewhere, Cach Mercer and Maddie Ingoldsby will honour Frank Sinatra with a Foxtrot to 'Theme From New York, New York', Will Best will become Elton John as he and Dianne Buswell take on a Jive to 'Crocodile Rock', and John Nellis and Katya Jones are doing a Paso Doble to Bon Jovi's 'It's My Life'.

It's Dani Dyer's turn to do the Rumba, and she and Nikita Kuzmin will be doing it to 'Hero' by Mariah Carey. Elsewhere, Bethany Antonia and Nancy Xu are doing a Cha Cha to Aretha Franklin's 'Respect', and Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu are preparing a Paso Doble to 'Let's Dance' by David Bowie.

Of the remaining stars, Lawrence Robb revealed on This Morning that he'll be giving his best Ricky Martin, while Graeme Hall was seen on tonight's It Takes Two teasing that he's doing a Salsa.

Further specifics on their dances – as well as details for Tabby Stoecker – are yet to be announced.

One person who won't be dancing this weekend is Delta Goodrem, after the singer sustained an injury. She and her partner Kai Widdrington have been given bye to the following week.

"I'm absolutely gutted that a rib injury means I won't be able to dance on Strictly this week," she said in a statement.

"I've been loving every second of this experience, so having to sit this one out is heartbreaking – especially after the high of Saturday night. I can not tell you how much I love being a part of this magical show.

"I'm going to focus on resting and recovering, and hopefully I'll be back on that dancefloor very soon. Thank you so much to everyone for all the love and support. It's so appreciated. I'll be cheering everyone on from the sidelines this week! Sending all my love, Delta."
