No, Those Dior x A24 Shirts Aren’t Going on Sale

Have you noticed every indie darling is wearing the same shirt these days? Everyone from Robert Pattinson and Drew Starkey to Anya Taylor-Joy and Mia Goth has been spotted in light pink, navy and forest green T-shirts emblazoned with the Dior and A24 logos — coveted merch from the luxury fashion house and indie film company’s newly announced partnership.

But if you’ve been scouring A24’s merch store or Dior’s website for the chic tee, save yourself the time: Dior has confirmed to Variety that it currently has no plans to sell the shirts to the public. Instead, they were gifted in extremely limited quantities to A24 talent, as well as Sabrina Carpenter, who has a longstanding relationship with Jonathan Anderson’s Dior and starred in the partnership’s launch video. So unless you have an in with Anderson — or a role in an upcoming A24 film — you’re out of luck.

That said, dozens of dupes have already popped up online, at considerably more affordable prices than Dior’s typical $1,000-plus price tag for a cotton tee. Sure, the knockoffs may not be cut from Italian-sourced jersey or finished with the same embroidered detailing, but they get the job done if you simply want in on the look. There are even mysterious listings on Etsy and Depop that appear to be the real thing, seemingly being resold by some of the lucky few who got their hands on the limited-edition merch.

Earlier this month, Dior and A24 announced a new two-year creative partnership spanning film, fashion, theater and live programming, with the indie studio’s Cherry Lane Theatre in New York serving as a central hub for the collaboration. The partnership launched with a starry campaign featuring Carpenter, Josh O’Connor, Drew Starkey, Camille Cottin and Sophie Wilde, all auditioning to play Dior creative director Anderson in a short film directed by Aidan Zamiri. Additional programming is expected to roll out across film, theater and other live events throughout the partnership.
