New Zombie Survival Game Is Stardew Valley Blended With Factorio

Translate

Known as 'Cyberpunk 2077's' biggest fan, Angharad is a Welsh games writer who thrives in anything related to digital storytelling. If a video game explores the intricacies and horrors of womanhood, she is there.

Thanks to previous work at GAMINGbible, GameByte, The Loadout, Game Luster, Angharad has built a strong understanding of both the digital world and what fans want from it and is eager to share her thoughts and expertise with readers.

Combining the farming sim elements of Stardew Valley with the factory-building we all know and love from Factorio, this upcoming "open-world survival, farming, ranching, factory-building, and trading game" is set to take the gaming sphere by storm when it launches later this year.

Developed by RyunGeunShin, Zombie Craft is a love-letter to the classics and tasks players with exploring a stunning continent, all whilst rebuilding villages and earning your fortune. However, the safety of daylight only lasts so long and at night, you had better be careful.

Zombie Craft begins when a small little witch wakes up alone in the middle of an empty forest with no knowledge of how she got there.

However, she soon hatches up a plan, and it is one that will need her to travel across a pixel-art-designed continent, accepting jobs from its inhabitants and slowly building a life for herself by rebuilding villages along the way. Unfortunately, when the sun goes down, the undead awaken and our little witch soon discovers that she was not the only one to awake from the ground. Luckily, with an arsenal of spells at her disposal, she may be able to repel the undead forces and do what it takes to make it to the next day.

Luckily, there is more to Zombie Craft than fighting zombies as, during the day, players must utilize their Stardew Valley skills by tending to the earth, looking after animals, and slowly constructing buildings that will help with every aspect of survival. If you are no stranger to the factory simulation game, Factorio, however, you will be well-versed in building ingenious structures, especially if they are able to keep unwanted creatures at bay.

Whilst the official Steam page for Zombie Craft remains scarce in terms of information, it is clear to see that its art-style is reminiscent of some of the classics of our childhood, and the idea of farming by day and killing zombies by night is likely to appeal to many. Unfortunately, Zombie Craft does not yet have an official release date, but we do know that it is expected to release some time this year, so hopefully, we do not have much longer to wait.

In the meantime, you can now add Zombie Craft to your Steam wishlist ahead of its launch, allowing you to receive an email detailing when you can finally install this stunning upcoming farming and survival sim.
