Mumbai has retained the same squad that travelled to Himachal Pradesh and earned its second consecutive bonus point at the start of its Ranji Trophy campaign for the next league match against Chhattisgarh, to be played from Monday at the Sharad Pawar academy ground.

After Mumbai thrashed Himachal Pradesh by an innings and 97 runs, the selection committee chaired by Rajesh Pawar on Thursday decided to stick to the same set of 15 players that travelled to Bilaspur.

The only talking point for the selectors was Shardul Thakur’s fitness status. The veteran allrounder is recovering after fracturing his right middle finger during the pre-season warm-up match. Sportstar understands that a fitness update on Shardul is expected in the next couple of days. Even if he is cleared medically, it is understood that the pacer will be eased into the squad after gradually increasing his workload.

The Squad: Siddhesh Lad (Capt.), Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Divyaansh Saxena, Musheer Khan, Sarfaraz Khan, Suryansh Shedge, Suved Parkar, Aakash Anand (wk), Hardik Tamore (wk), Shams Mulani, Tanush Kotian, Atharva Ankolekar, Tushar Deshpande, Mohit Avasthi, Sylvester D’Souza, Onkar Tarmale.
