(Asiad) Yeo Seo-jeong leads Korea's gold medal hopes
NAGOYA, Japan, Sept. 24 (Yonhap) -- Artistic gymnast Yeo Seo-jeong will seek to reclaim the women's vault title she won eight years ago at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on Thursday.
Yeo won the gold medal in the event at the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia but did not compete at the previous Hangzhou Asian Games as she chose to focus on the world championships.
She finished the vault qualification with 14.446 points to advance to Thursday's final, ahead of her North Korean rival An Chang-ok, who scored 13.900.

Artistic gymnast Ryu Sung-hyun is also ready to extend South Korea's gold medal streak in the men's floor exercise event at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. He finished second in qualifications for the discipline held Monday.
Kim Han-sol won the title in the event at two consecutive Asian Games in 2018 and 2022.
Shooters will target multiple medals in the men's air pistol individual and team events.
So Seung-seob, 48, the oldest athlete in the Korean delegation, will make his Asian Games debut 37 years after he began his shooting career.
Fencers Jeon Ha-young and Kim Jeong-mi will seek gold in the women's individual sabre event.
The women's basketball team will play in the quarterfinals against Indonesia.
