Body discovered submerged in livestock trough on NSW property
A body has been discovered partially submerged in a livestock trough on a rural NSW property near the Queensland border, sparking a police investigation as recovery efforts begin.
Police discovered the body about 11.20am on Monday at the property in Terragon, 20 kilometres south of Murwillumbah, finding it in a stock dip.
The identity and gender of the deceased is unknown and is expected to be determined following forensic and post-mortem examinations expected this week. It’s unclear how long the body has been in the trough.
The body was recovered during a police operation on Tuesday morning as detectives continued its investigation into the discovery.
