Prabowo-Gibran's 3 million homes program reaches 324,213 units

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Government Communication Agency (Bakom) reported that the "3 Million Homes" program achieved 324,213 completed units as of June 13, marking two years of the Prabowo Subianto–Gibran Rakabuming Raka administration.
Kurnia Ramadhana, Deputy for Partnerships and Media Relations at Bakom, stated that subsidized housing distribution through the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) reached 180,600 units as of Oct. 14.
"This FLPP distribution figure represents 51.6 percent of the 2026 target of 350,000 subsidized housing units," Ramadhana said in a statement on Sunday.
In 2025, FLPP subsidized housing distribution totaled 278,868 units.
Alongside housing finance expansion, the government has scaled up the Self-Help Housing Stimulus Assistance (BSPS) program, known locally as home renovation (bedah rumah).
For 2026, the government allocated Rp8.59 trillion (US$475.82 million) to renovate 400,000 uninhabitable homes.
This marks a substantial increase from 2025, when the BSPS program targeted 45,073 homes with a budget of Rp1.02 trillion (US$56.5 million).
Meanwhile, physical housing targets for the Ministry of Housing and Residential Areas (PKP) stand at 414,184 units, anchored by the BSPS program targeting 400,000 homes as of Sept. 10.
"The home renovation program is intended to improve the quality of housing for low-income individuals, making their homes safer and healthier," Ramadhana said.
"Its implementation is also expected to stimulate the local economy through the purchase of building materials and the creation of employment opportunities," Ramadhana explained.
The Prabowo–Gibran administration reaches its two-year milestone on Oct. 20 as part of broader efforts to expand public access to decent living quarters.
