007 First Light DLC: Release date and what to expect

Hitman always loved DLC, so it's no surprise to see 007 First Light DLC releasing so soon after launch!

First Light has a stronger focus on story than IO Interactive's other games, so its DLC looks a bit different to what we're used to.

But we are getting some DLC for 007 First Light, and here are all the details on when it comes out and what it's all about.

When is the 007 First Light DLC release date?

The 007 First Light DLC will be released on 1 October 2026.

During June's Summer Game Fest showcase, it was announced that a new DLC story mission would be coming to the game later in the year.

This was later confirmed to release at the start of October via a surprise release in the days before from developer IO Interactive.

The mission will focus on Bawma, the pirate king of Aleph played by musician Lenny Kravitz, who requests help from Bond specifically.

While we don't know exactly what the story will entail, plenty have speculated that Bawma will ask Bond to find his missing sister, Harmony, who he has spent years searching for.

The Bawma DLC mission is currently the final part of a six-step year one content roadmap.

According to IOI chief development officer Véronique Lallier, post-launch content is something that the team has done "very successfully with Hitman," so it's no surprise to see it in First Light too.

"For us, the way we see things is: launching the game is just the beginning, and it's important for us to learn and listen to the feedback of the players and everybody and see, okay, how can we do it better?" she said.

"What should we do more? What should we do less? And that's something we've been doing with Hitman [for] over a decade with World of Assassination, and we're going to definitely try to bring more content."
