The upcoming NBC comedy led by Jake Johnson will feature guest stars Spencer Moss (“She’s Fine,” “Doctor Odyssey”), Nelson Franklin (“Veep,” “The Social Reckoning”), Patrick Gallagher (“Big Sky,” “Joe Pickett”), David Paymer (“Dave,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”) and Wrenn Schmidt (“For All Mankind,” “Nuremberg”).

Premiering in February, “Sunset P.I.” is a single-camera workplace comedy that follows Mickey Wilder (Johnson), a private investigator employed by a past-its-prime detective agency in Hollywood. Johnson is joined by previously announced cast members Jane Levy, Langston Kerman, Mary Shalaby and Keith David.

Per the new character descriptions, Moss will play Aylie, Mickey’s technologically savvy 14-year-old niece. Franklin will play Kyle, an accountant at a large bio-tech company. Gallagher is Garr, an LAPD detective on a murder scene. Paymer will portray Irvin Mandrake, a big-wig movie producer who had blockbuster hits in the 1980s. And Schmidt will play Cynthia, a mysterious woman with sinister intentions.

Moss is represented by CESD and Industry Entertainment; Franklin by CAA, Artists First and Hansen Jacobson Teller; Gallagher by TalentWorks and Vanguard Management; Paymer by Stride Management and Independent Artist Group; and Schmidt by Greenlight Management, Innovative Artists and Peikoff Mahan.
