Rory McIlroy was one of a number of players impacted after the second round of the DP World India Championship was suspended because of fading light.

England's Eddie Pepperell and Todd Clements are both one shot off the four-way tie for the lead as they completed their 18 holes in New Dehli.

Joost Luiten, Angel Hidalgo and Adrian Meronk all finished their rounds and lead on eight under par, while Belgium's Thomas Detry is also tied at the top despite having his round cut short after seven holes.

Northern Ireland's Tom McKibbin started the second round one shot off the lead but had fallen to three back, on five-under par, after seven holes.

Six-time major winner McIlroy is tied for 17th on four-under but his challenge was halted after four holes.

The Northern Ireland player started his second round with a superb eagle and had shot three pars before the hooter sounded to end play.

England's Tommy Fleetwood and Scotland's Robert MacIntyre were also hit by the end of play after the fourth hole, and join McIlroy on four-under par and four shots off the leaders.

The delays come after heavy rain and thunderstorms led to play being suspended for five hours during Thursday's opening round. The second round will resume at 02:45 BST on Saturday.
