EastEnders' Ravi to discover Priya and Max baby twist in huge new scenes

EastEnders’ Ravi Gulati is set to discover the truth about Priya Nandra-Hart’s baby next week, as he learns that the father of her unborn child is in fact Max Branning! Ravi recently uncovered Priya and Max’s fling but was willing to move forward when he found she was pregnant and assumed that he was the dad.

Priya couldn’t bring herself to break Ravi’s heart, though it’s a secret that is spreading around Walford, with Jean and now Penny aware of this paternity twist.

The situation begins to completely unravel next week however, when Priya and Ravi travel home from their baby scan on the tube. The couple talk about telling Nugget and Avani about Priya’s pregnancy – but Cindy is in the same carriage and finds out about the baby.

Still reeling from Max’s affair with Priya, Cindy is highly suspicious that all is not as it seems. She gets snooping in Priya and Ravi’s flat and soon finds the paternity test results that confirm Max is the father of Priya’s child.

After discovering the truth, Cindy confronts Priya about this bombshell knowledge and orders her to leave Walford or else her dangerous secret will be exposed.

But in a surprising turn of events, Ravi finds out about Cindy’s threat and Priya’s subsequent plan to leave Albert Square – and it doesn’t take long for him to realise that the baby isn’t actually his.

As the week continues, Ravi’s world is turned upside down with this latest revelation. He is completely devastated by Priya’s betrayal and storms off before she can explain the situation.

In light of Ravi discovering the truth, Priya goes back to Cindy and tells her that she is sticking around in Walford after all, as she no longer has any leverage to force her exit.

But Priya later has a conversation with Linda and Oscar, who make some insightful comments that make her question this decision.

Meanwhile, Ravi confides in Vinny about this shocking news – with Vinny unaware that he is in a very similar situation, as he may not be the father of Penny’s newborn baby.

After being encouraged by Vinny to take action, Ravi finds Priya and begs her to stay in the Square, even promising to raise her child as his own. Can Ravi convince Priya to stick around?

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
