Emmerdale lines up new Liam secret after another murder mystery twist

Fresh from a dangerous game of murder mystery, Liam Cavanagh got a few more surprises on Emmerdale tonight (27 October). And this time around, the doctor isn't sure what to believe anymore.
Liam has long been a fan of real-life murder mystery events, and attended one over the weekend with Manpreet Sharma and Claudette Anderson. His partner, Chas Dingle, wasn't best pleased as she felt left out.

After getting some advice from Marlon Dingle, she organised an event for Liam herself, but things soon turned as Liam was tied up by Dave, an intruder he originally thought was part of the game.
It soon became apparent that Dave was a criminal who was looking for Dylan Penders, and Tuesday's episode of the ITV soap began with Liam asking the teenager how he knew the mysterious individual.
Marlon and Chas soon arrived, but Dave wasn't in the mood for negotiations as he punched Marlon. He subsequently brandished a firearm, and instructed Chas to lead him to the pub where he could get some money.
Liam and Dylan tried to ascertain if Marlon was okay, with April walking in and freeing them. Liam asked April to fetch Manpreet, all while he headed to the pub to save the day – and Chas.
Liam eventually arrived, but Chas revealed that she couldn't open the safe for Dave as she changed the code the night before. As it was changed as part of the game they planned, it was set to the time of death of the victim, which Liam managed to remember.
He opened the safe, but there was only a note – which read 'Save the date. 29 January' – instead of money. Liam was confused, but everything was soon cleared up as it was revealed that the situation with Dave was also part of the game.

They headed back to the Woolpack to discuss the game, and clocked that Mary Goskirk still hadn't returned following her part. Chas shared that the date was when she wanted to marry Liam, and he accepted as he declared his love.
There could be a twist, however, as Dave – now known as David – intimated that he recognised Liam from a past life. The doctor was quick to shut the conversation down, but what could he be hiding?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
