Chrishell Stause Says She Won’t Be Watching ‘Selling Sunset’ Season 10, But Her Lawyers Will Be
The sun has set on Chrishell Stause‘s time on Selling Sunset, and she’s ready to move on.
The reality star says she “won’t” be watching the forthcoming tenth installment of the Netflix series following her exit after nine seasons on the real estate reality show.
“And I don’t mean that in a bad way,” Stause told The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet at THR‘s Creator A-List Party presented by UTA. “I hope they have an amazing season. I’Il have lawyers let me know if there’s defamation, but I feel like, to be honest with you, if you love something, let it go.”
Stause went on to acknowledge that being on the series brought her “a lot of really amazing things,” and even said that she had a good time on the show, so she harbors no ill will towards the series’ future.
“I want [the cast] to go on and do their thing,” Stause said. “It’s not for me. So, I really wish it the best.”
However, just because she won’t be watching, don’t think she won’t have people on her team paying attention.
“That being said, don’t defame me,” Stause clarified. “I will sue you.”
Stause revealed she was leaving the real estate reality series back in November 2025 following the release of season nine in October of that year.
“I’ve gotten to a place where I don’t need the show financially,” she told Bustle at the time. “I’m lucky to have other forms of employment, because it’s no longer good for my mental health.” During Selling Sunset‘s ninth season, a central storyline was Stause and Emma Hernan’s conflict centered around Hernan’s boyfriend.
“He compared being nonbinary to having a mental illness,” Stause alleged. “He constantly posts anti-trans stuff… He thinks it’s too woke if you don’t sing the N-word in songs. He posted something the other day, with a gun in view, saying he wants to ‘sue [me for lying] my dick off.’”
While speaking to THR, Stause opened up about life post-Selling Sunset.
“It’s been exciting to find projects that I really love that I’m excited to do from the heart,” she said. “So, I think that’s been really where I found my lane. In the creation of shows and now pitching shows and finding that being not only in front of the camera, but behind the camera is nice.”
While Stause said she couldn’t reveal details about her upcoming projects just yet, she teased that she will have more to share “soon.”
As for Selling Sunset, the series was renewed for a tenth season in April of this year. No official release date has been announced.
